Quincy High School
Constructability Review
Quincy, WA
This new high school included gymnasiums, a theater, and common areas. The sitework included parking, all new athletic facilities, and a new football stadium. The existing terrain was relatively flat and had good bearing capacity. The two-story, 220,000 gsf building was constructed using post and beam steel members. Exterior cladding consisted of brick, metal panels, and metal glazing.
The documents were well-developed and we were able to thoroughly review 95% pre-bid sets. We identified an expected number of inconsistencies found at this stage. For example, we found two places where the mechanical system did not fit above the ceiling.
Size: 186,000 sq. feet
Cost: $63,000,000
